2. Test Blog & Cases Packed

5.15pm:
Yay! We’ve packed our cases and then the big weigh moment was upon us! Both cases came in at 18kg which is pretty good for us. We’re allowed 25kg but we have 2 internal flights in the UK whose allowances are 20kg, so we knew we had to keep under that amount. A big tick for us ✅

3.25pm: and another yay moment. With the help of our friend Ali, we've finally worked out how other people can access the Blog! It took several attempts to get it right but finally we've done it. AND what's more, I've worked out how to update the Blog on my phone. It all sounds like it should be quite straight forward and in one sense it is but there's always little hidden secrets lurking in the background that challenge that notion of things being too easy!

And so, now I can concentrate on packing my side of the case! We always put our clothes 50/50 in the suitcases, in case one of them gets lost - that way at least we both have something to wear, etc. It's a system that's worked well for us over the decades so there's no point in stopping a known system. If it ain't broke then leave it alone!

11.30am: Yay! We have seats! However, they are not together but we have aisle seats, one in front of the other - at least to Singapore. It’s too early to check our seats from Singapore to London yet!

9.45am: Grrrr... I'm still testing this site as some kith and kin are having trouble accessing it.

  1. Well done Maggie and Norm. Enjoy the flight and the joy of the Sing airport. Jewel centre fountain and the other treats. I did a heritage tour as I had 10 hrs to fill in. I didn't know how to do the save to favorites but seem to be able to access you by simply right clocking.

    1. Great to have you on board as an armchair passenger. It saves your shoulders, arms and legs by not having to carry our luggage.
